New Business:

Twoonie Rides / Insurance: PVTA has put organized Twoonie Rides on hold pending and Insurance Report and its recommendations.  Maybe PTVA should insure under Cycling BC and appoint a Ride Director to oversee all rides?  New insurance should be worked out and implemented by March 2011 PVTA AGM.

Meeting with Mike McGee: (Administrator for Mt. Currie Band) would like to work with PVTA and local interests in the future to create official regulated recreational trails on Band land to be an economic driver for the Band and village of Pemberton residents.

PVTA 2011 Planning Committee: it was raised that PTVA needs more direction and shared responsibility amongst the directors.  It was decided that PVTA should have directors appointed to manage particular activities such as:

Ride Director

Events Director

Signage/Trails Director

Membership Director

PR and Website Director

Ongoing Business:

Trail Work: – Owl/Chain Lake connector completed to ridge top; rough trail down to Owl Lake should be completed by Fall 2010.

– Chain Lakes trail has a lot of blown down trees to be cleared.

– Swede Trail: original trail was reconnoitered and due to a large cut block deemed to not be a viable trail at this point to be resurrected.

Motion put forward and carried to move all funding for the Swede trail to Owl/Chain Lakes trail.

New Trail Map: need to revise and update PVTA trail map to include new trails by Spring 2010.

New Trail Signs: there is concern that there are not enough trail signs or they are not intuitive enough.  Suggestions for new signs: include map topo map of immediate area, distance to known points/trail intersections, more signs….

Treasurer’s Report:

$20,592 in the bank account

$2,500 in receivables

$6,000 hold back receivable from 2010 NTC grant

$600 in map inventory
