The bouncing, crumbling, and frankly a bit scary bridge on the Bathtub connector (bottom of Happy Trail) has been replaced by tireless PVTA volunteers!
Thanks to Hamster, Davis, Chris Wells, Jon Johnston, BC Hydro, Joe Lax and crew (and the random dog walker who help lift the poles in!) and Jeff Westlake for bringing it all together.
Logging and road building has begun in Owl Creek, please be aware if you are riding Skelula7 or heading to the Chain Link descent. Expect work in the Mackenzie basin to begin within the next two weeks.
A couple of shout-outs: Thanks to the Pemberton Spud Run on Canada Day! 41 runners of all sizes, shapes and ages came out to run the 3k and 10k courses, raising $285 in donations for the PVTA. You guys rock and it was fun marshalling.
And a big thanks to the folks at the Upper Lilloet Hydro Project for their generous donation of $5000 towards the planned Mosquito Lake up-track. This donation puts us well on the way to creating this trail by this fall.
