The Mountain Bike Tourism Association, in conjunction with municipal partners and Destination British Columbia, will be conducting an economic impact study with mountain bikers this summer in Squamish, Pemberton, and the North Shore (Whistler collected their data in 2015). This study was last conducted in 2006 and showed mountain biking in the Sea to Sky corridor was worth $26.5 million. We are expecting a lot has changed over the past 10 years! Data will be used to demonstrate the value of #mtb to each community and will help trail groups get support for trail building and maintenance.
How can you help? Watch for surveyors on the trails from June to September and complete the survey, if asked. Everyone who participates has a chance to win some cool riding gear from Rocky Mountain Bicycles.
Thanks in advance! :)
